About Colin

Colin is a Consultant Solicitor specialising in residential property. Colin acts for a broad range of clients from first time buyers to small developers, but specialises in acting for Landlords / Buy-to-Let Investors in particular.

Colin assists anyone in need of conveyancing services but especially landlords and investors. Many of Colin’s clients are working on multiple deals at one time and benefit from having a single point of contact as well as swift and concise communication.

Colin believes in providing a personal bespoke service which is tailored to the client’s desired outcome.

In his spare time Colin enjoys bouldering, fishing, hiking, camping and kayaking.

Legal Expertise in Practice

Freehold Purchases - In 2024 Colin completed two complex freehold purchases that had both been ongoing with a different conveyancer for 3 years.

Sale - Colin recently completed the sale of a shop and apartment. The sellers were estranged family members and the shop had recent planning breaches and a sitting tenant with no Lease.

Purchase - Colin once acted for a client in the purchase of a field, part of which was being used by an informal tenant for bee-keeping. As part of the purchase Colin drafted a licence agreement setting out the terms of the apiarist’s use of the property.

Sale - In 2024 Colin acted for the developer in the sale of a number of newly built apartments and the subsequent transfer of the freehold to the tenants.

Miscellaneous property work - Colin recently acted for a client who had built an additional house in his back garden. Colin successfully applied for the title to be split, allowing the two properties to be separately financed with high street lenders.
