The Role – Junior Operations Assistant
We’re on the lookout for a bright, proactive, and organised Junior Operations Assistant to support our Executive Assistant, CEO, and Directors. This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same – one minute you’ll be helping plan a company event, the next you’ll be supporting our onboarding process, chasing a tech issue, or pulling together documents for compliance.
You’ll be exposed to everything from HR and culture to finance, IT, events and operations – and you’ll learn a huge amount along the way. If you love being helpful, are happy to roll your sleeves up, and thrive in a busy environment, this could be a brilliant next step for you.
This is a hybrid role based in Poole.
A few things you’ll be diving into:
Executive & Admin Support
- Assist the Executive Assistant in managing diaries, travel bookings, meeting prep, and internal comms for the CEO and Directors.
- Keep admin systems organised, up to date, and running smoothly.
Culture & People
- Help onboard new starters (employees and consultants), arranging welcome packs and training materials.
- Assist with internal engagement initiatives, events and wellbeing campaigns.
Compliance & Risk
- Support document management, compliance deadlines, and help maintain records for insurance, SRA requirements, and CQS accreditation.
- Get involved in reviewing and updating internal policies.
IT & Tech
- Be the friendly go-to for basic IT support and troubleshooting (don’t worry, you’ll have help).
- Support the rollout of new software and systems across the firm.
Operations & Facilities
- Help with everyday office coordination and estate management – from restocking supplies to chasing contractors or making the office look great for a client visit.
- Support health and safety processes.
Finance & Accounts Support
- Liaise with the accounts team to gather reports, track expenses, and assist with finance-related tasks and compliance.
Project & Event Support
- Help organise internal projects, team events, and firmwide initiatives.
- Support the marketing team with event logistics and operations admin.
What we’re looking for:
- Some office, admin or customer service experience (but we’re open-minded!)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Great communication – friendly, clear, and happy speaking with all sorts of people
- A natural helper – someone who loves ticking things off and making life easier for others
- A keen learner with a proactive, can-do attitude
- Comfortable with tech, MS Office, and happy picking up new systems
- Discreet, professional, and trustworthy with sensitive information
